A South Island airshow has promised to "soften" the ground battles played out by war re-enactment groups in the wake of the Christchurch mosques shootings. The Yealands Classic Fighters display has been hosting World War I battle scenes, with multiple aeroplanes, military vehicles and sets, since 2001. Yealands Classic Fighters, held every other Easter, is the main fundraising event for the Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum, in Blenheim.
