The Yankees and the Red Sox would make for a heart-stopping ALCS. The game was everything fans have come to expect from a Yankees-Red Sox game, and the best news is, these two teams will do it 15 more times before the book is closed on the 2018 season. Because as of now, with, admittedly, 126 games left to play, the Yankees and the Red Sox are not only the two best teams in the American League; they are currently the two best teams in baseball. By definition, if not by reality, that is likely to translate to the Yankees and the Red Sox. Too bad that at its best, the 2018 Yankees-Red Sox series is almost guaranteed to end one round too soon.
