The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Monday decided to return the land to the farmers that it had acquired in 2009 as part of developing sector-18. The decision was taken by the Yamuna Authority Area during its 62nd board meeting. Sources, however, said it is an attempt to mount pressure on the farmers to sell their land to the authority. Kumar further stated that the board has decided to give free land to NHAI near the zero point of Easter Peripheral Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. Other than this, the YEIDA board also agreed to extend Noida- Greater Noida Metro up to the Jewar Airport.
