YABATECH shuts medical centre, academic planning unit as staff dies of COVID-19


Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Lagos has closed down its medical centre and academic planning unit following the death of a staff of the institution, Mr M.A.Omoighe. Omoighe was reportedly died from COVID-19 complications and until his death was a staff of the Academic Planning Unit of the institution. YABATECH directed each office to rotate their staff to accommodate only 50 per cent members at a time and that all meeting with more than 10 attendees should be done online. Furthermore, the school said it remains mandatory for every member of staff and student to wear their nose mask, observe social/physical distancing and other non-pharmaceutical protocols already given by the government.
