Roopur NPP Gets Highest Allocation, Lowest Rampal EB ReportThe Nuclear Power Plant Project of Rooppur has got the highest budget allocation of 100 thousand and 136 crore taka as a development project of the government in the proposed budget for the fiscal year of 2017-18. The project of Padma multipurpose rail connection has destined to the second biggest allocation of 7 thousand and 610 crore taka in the proposed budget. The Metrorail project of Dhaka city got 3,425 crore taka, Matarbari (2*600) MW ultra-super critical cold fire power project has got 2,220 crore taka proposed allocation in the budget for FY 2017-18. Underwater multi-lane road tunnel under the Karnaphali river project received an allocation of BDT 1,574 crore. Despite being in the mega top-priority project list, the Infrastructure Development project of the Ramapl power plant project has got an allocation of just BDT 1 crore.
