PETALING JAYA: As someone who has known Datuk Dr Xavier Jayakumar for a long time, PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail says the former’s decision to leave the party raises “many queries”. He said the Kuala Langat MP had informed party leaders about a recent investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. Saifuddin also claimed Dr Jayakumar was contacted by a minister who urged him to support the Perikatan Nasional government. In George Town, Penang PKR chairman Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik said that the move was expected. Sabah PKR chief Datuk Christina Liew, who is also Tawau MP, said: “We are in full support of PKR.
