The XD-EGEMAC Alliance won the North Hurghada transformer station tender after competing with 10 companies. Ramadan told Daily News Egypt that the alliance will complete the establishment of the project within 12 months. He noted that the station aims to support the electricity grid in the Red Sea area and support the electricity feed to Hurghada. Moreover, he noted that the company also won a tender to establish another transformer station in Bani Mazar at a cost of EGP 47m. According to Ramadan, the company is working on the construction of another 220/66/11 kVA station in Fayoum.
