XCORLast week, space company XCOR Aerospace announced that it was laying off its remaining workforce, but not closing its doors completely. "Due to adverse financial conditions, XCOR had to terminate all employees as of 30 June 2017," the company said in a statement. XCORBlum says that XCOR has two basic lines of business - building rocket engines and components, and the development of its Lynx spacecraft. "Their main problem is that the space tourism market failed to develop as they (and others) expected. The slow development of the space tourism market will continue to hurt XCOR going forward, making its outlook questionable."
