The Architect triumphed over 29 other superstars to win the men's Royal Rumble match and earn a shot at title gold on April 7. The next night on Raw, he declared he would challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Rollins received a glowing endorsement from Triple H earlier in the show, but the Beast Incarnate was not so enamoured with Seth. It was Rollins of course who stole Brock's WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31 during a bout with Roman Reigns. He did so by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to make the contest a triple threat match and pinned Reigns to snatch the gold.
