Controversial plans to create a number of permanent holiday lodges on a former campsite have been rejected. An application to build new structures at Honey Pot Farm Caravan Park in Wortham has been thrown out by Mid Suffolk District Council. Under the plans, 24 timber cabins would have been sited on the Bury Road site, with two parking spaces allocated for each plot. The plans for Honey Pot Farm Caravan Park, in Wortham, would have seen 24 lodges on the site. Other issues included vehicle access to the site, an increase in light pollution and fears that the local sewerage system would not be able to cope with the extra demand.
