Hamilton bar owners are worried about lockdown hampering one of the busiest week of the year, O-Week [file photo]. Bars and restaurants in Hamilton are hoping for the best as the biggest week of the year looms amid heightened Covid-19 restrictions. It was revealed on Sunday that three members of the family tested positive for the UK variant of the virus, causing Auckland to move into alert level 3, with the rest of the country going to alert level 2. Alert level 2 means establishments can host a maximum of 100 people, and patrons have to sign-in and remain in groups of no more than 10, with tables kept two metres apart. Lawrenson Group chief executive John Lawrenson said next week is O-Week, when returning students make for one of the biggest weeks of the year in Hamilton.
