An 119-year-old woman, who is the world's oldest living person, attributes reaching the lofty age to "keeping my mind busy." Kane Tanaka from Fukuoka, Japan, was officially confirmed as the oldest person living on 9 March 2019. Kane was born prematurely on 2 January 1903, the same year the Wright brothers became the first to achieve powered flight, and is the oldest Japanese person of all time.
