MAGURA, June 1, 2024 (BSS) - The World Milk Day-2024 was observed in the district today in a befitting manner. In 2001, World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of United Nations announced June 1 as World Milk Day. World Milk Day is celebrated to recognise the importance of milk as a global food and to celebrate the dairy sector. This year, World Milk Day was celebrated with the theme of focusing on celebrating the vital role dairy plays in delivering quality nutrition to nourish the world. Apart from making people aware about the nutritional value of milk, the speakers also called upon the farmers to produce better quality milk and enrich the dairy industry.
