DHAKA, Nov 13, 2023 (BSS) - The World Diabetes Day will be observed in thecountry tomorrow as elsewhere in the globe in a befitting manner to make thepeople aware about the disease. This year's theme of the day is 'Diabeties: know your risk, know yourresponse'. On the eve of the day, President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime MinisterSheikh Hasina issued separate messages urging all concerned to work togetherfor creating awareness among the people about diabetes. In his message, President Mohammed Shahabuddin said the prevalence ofdiabetes is increasing day by day due to lack of knowledge about the risk ofdiabetes. The Diabetic Association of Bangladesh has been taking multi-facetedactivities including creating awareness for prevention and control ofdiabetes, the premier said.
