The World Bank has projected a 6.4% Gross Domestic Products (GDP) growth for Bangladesh in 2018. World Bank lead economist Zahid Hussain: “Gross Domestic Products growth is projected to be robust, and above many developing countries in East Asia and South Asia in the Fiscal Year 2018. He said: “For Bangladesh, growth is expected at 6.4% in FY18, driven by industry and services. According to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), last year’s GDP growth was recorded at 7.24%. Qimiao Fan, World Bank Country Director for Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, was also present during briefing.
