Previously, Bangladesh sought for $100 million in assistance to combat the health and economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic from the World Bank. A total of 14 people were confirmed as coronavirus infected as of now. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Wednesday also announced a $6.5 billion initial package to address the immediate needs of its developing member countries (DMCs) as they respond to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
