Sophia, the humanoid robot resembling Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn, is about to add spark to this year's Digital World expo that kicks-off in Dhaka on Dec 6. The ICT Division released the video message on Thursday where Sophia is heard saying: "Hello Bangladesh, I'm Sophia, the world's first artificially intelligent robot from Hanson Robotics. Thank you to ICT Division Bangladesh government and Islami Bank Bangladesh to create this opportunity for us.”Expressing hope to meet the Bangladeshis, Sophia says in Bangla, “Dhonyobaad", or “Thank you” in English. Sophia was built by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics Ltd, which says its humanlike robots have remarkable expressiveness, aesthetics, and interactivity. She became the world’s first robot citizen after receiving Saudi citizenship in October this year.
