In Pakist­an, employ­ees, especi­ally intern­s, are often not treate­d fairly­KARACHI: An intern of a public relations firm in the country recently took to social media to voice the injustice she faced during her time as an intern. On a Facebook post, the former intern accused a notable PR executive of treating her like a ‘slave’. While the executive has denied the allegations, we cannot rule out that in Pakistan, employees, especially interns, are often not treated fairly. The federal and provincial governments should consider setting up a platform to help employeesfacing afore-mentioned conditions without mentioning their names.
