Workers test new glass walkway in China with sledgehammers


Nail-biting footage has emerged showing a group of intrepid workers jumping on a cracked cliff-side glass walkway at 180 metres (590 feet) high in south-west China. Workers in Danlushan, China, are hitting a new glass walkway with sledgehammers for safety check before it's open to public (left). A fearless man jumps on the shattered glass (right)The transparent attraction, called the Danlushan Glass Walkway, is build on the side of a vertical cliff face. Apparently, the workers used heavy-duty sledgehammers to smash the glass floors to see if the walkway can withstand any sudden potential danger. The Danlushan scenic area is also home to ancient temples as well as a 1,000-metre-long (3,280 feet) walkway built with cement.
