more-inWater Minister Rajendra Gautam held a meeting with Delhi Jal Board (DJB) officials and other government officials at his residence here on Saturday over the deaths of maintenance workers while cleaning a manhole in south Delhi recently. Vigilance committeeDJB CEO Keshav Chandra, DJB Chief Engineers and lawyers representing the DJB, and the Delhi government in different courts attended the meeting. “Since the death of three workers in Lajpat Nagar recently, the Water Minister is finding out ways to control this completely. The Minister said there should not be any such incidents in the future,” said a senior government official. “For this, the Minister instructed the officials to set up a monitoring committee and a vigilance committee at the earliest,” the official said further.
