An employee at a 7-Eleven in southwest Calgary has tested positive for COVID-19. That location has been closed for cleaning, and 7-Eleven Canada said it plans to reopen on May 9. The company said it's taken steps to keep employees and customers safe at its 636 stores across Canada. "We have enhanced our standards and procedures for hygiene, handwashing, sanitation, food handling and preparation in stores, and increased the frequency of cleaning high-touch surfaces," the company said. "We have installed sneeze guards at sales counters and visual floor markers in checkout lines that reinforce social distancing, as well as limit customer traffic in stores."
