Funding has been found that will allow work to continue on the Otakaro Orchard building in Christchurch. The sound of building work will soon be back at Ōtākaro Orchards' central Christchurch site after funding to continue the project was secured. The orchard is a project of the Food Resilience Network. It is planned as a major attraction demonstrating food resilience (the ability to withstand changes that could lead the food network collapsing). The idea for Ōtākaro Orchard came out the city's Share an Idea campaign that was run after the earthquakes.
