SOUTHBOROUGH – Road detours will be in place in Southborough this weekend as work is done to replace an eastbound Mass Pike bridge. Woodland Road will closed to through traffic starting at 7 tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, July 26, the state Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced. MassDOT said work was to start at 7 a.m. Friday and that eastbound traffic is being shifted through a median crossover to the westbound side of the Pike (I-90). Travel will be reduced to two lanes in each direction and opposing traffic separated by a barrier. MassDOT is replacing bridges on I-90 east and westbound over Flanders Road in Westborough and Parkerville Road, Cordaville Road, and Woodland Road in Southborough as part of this project.
