Wonky stage prompts about-face for outdoor concertWARWICK SMITH/FAIRFAX NZ Matt Gardner and Lynda Williamson enjoy the sound of The Unexpected Crossroads at Access Manawatu's first outdoor "Sounds of Summer" concert series in the Esplanade. Palmerston North's Sounds of Summer concert series has finally made it outdoors after the first two shows were moved to the studio because of bad weather. The forecast for next weekend favoured another outdoor concert for a "world" themed line-up of performers. The last two Esplanade concerts are scheduled for February 5 and February 12. The city council pays for the Esplanade concerts and supports the events in The Square.
