On Tuesday, Corrections confirmed it had offered inmates apologies and compensation to 15 women after a decade-long pattern of "systemic" illegal searches for contraband at the Auckland jail. Two other illegal searches are so far confirmed to have happened at Wellington's Arohata Prison.
