Fairmont HotelsWomen’s Golf Week was launched as in an industry initiative in 2005, and has since grown into a full Women’s Golf Month (June) with a highlighted Women’s Golf Day (June 5th). The program falls under the PGA of America’s Play Golf America initiative and is jointly orchestrated by the LPGA, National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA), PGA of America and the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA). Women’s Golf & Travel Concierge is a division of golf travel packager Premier Golf, and they have put together the most appealing event I could find, the Pinehurst Women’s Golf Day Getaway, from June 3-6, 2018. The resort is a living museum of golf history and has also hosted the Women’s U.S. Open, Women’s Amateur and Women’s Intercollegiate. The Pinehurst Women’s Golf Day Getaway Package includes three nights accommodations at the grand Carolina Hotel or smaller Holly Inn with the resort’s famously decadent breakfast buffet each morning; welcome and farewell dinners and drinks; two rounds of golf on Pinehurst courses 1, 3, or 5; a 90-minute golf clinic at the Pinehurst Golf Academy; and a Drive, Chip and Putt contest.
