The new AC40 will be similar to Team New Zealand's test boat Te Kahu which was crucial to their defence of the America’s Cup. Team New Zealand have confirmed a pathway for women into the America’s Cup using a new multi-purpose 40-foot foiling monohull. The one-design boat will be crewed by four sailors - two on each side - and will be used in initial America’s Cup warm-up regattas. “The America’s Cup has an important role to play in expanding access and inclusion for all athletes into sailing. Team New Zealand and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron will announce the host venue for the next America’s Cup on September 17.
