DHAKA, Nov 14, 2023 (BSS) - Leaders of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) today underscored the need for ensuring women's empowerment as well as their security in the election manifesto of all the political parties in the country. They came up with the call at a press conference held at Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Auditorium of the Jatiya Press Club today. In the written statement, it was said that in order to ensure and advance the sustainable political empowerment of women, it is necessary to ensure sufficient women's participation in the governance of the state. A total of 34 recommendations were presented to ensure women's education, health, sports rights, democracy and good governance. Speaking on the occasion, BMP Central Committee president Dr Fauzia Moslem said that the movement will continue on behalf of the women to ensure their participation in the elections.
