Nominated Senators Martha Wangari and Joy Gwendo said women have been given a raw deal. They accused Cord of failing to give women spots in the committee which will be formally constituted in Parliament on Tuesday. Cord has struck a deal and agreed that Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale will replace Sambili in the Parliamentary Select committee on IEBC reforms. They took keen interest on the committee formed to discuss the IEBC stalemate that led to weeks of demonstrations by the opposition.
