But that’s largely a response based on my privileged background. Having spent my entire career in the travel industry, I recognise that we are one of the few industries that employ more women than men. If there aren’t enough women in top jobs, it is because of the poor support they receive at their homes because it’s not okay when a woman needs to travel for work or if she needs to attend an important work meeting when the child has chicken pox.If we really want equality and diversity at our workplaces, we need to shift our women empowerment battles from our workplaces to our homes. More men should come forward to help out, share the real-life load, and become our real partners. Every working woman can achieve what she desires if she is willing to work harder and smarter than anyone else in the ring.
