Come Tuesday, women constables will be managing traffic at the CGO complex, New Delhi. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has deployed a platoon of women commandos to manage the traffic mess at the CGO complex which houses the headquarters of nearly all paramilitary force including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and NDRF, besides other government offices. More than 10,000 employees report to work every day and around 3,000 vehicles are parked in the complex. In the last two years, traffic snarls around the complex has led to many problems. After a high level meet and a nod from Home Ministry, 50 ITBP women commandos will be manning the CGO complex from Tuesday.
