According to a new damning report, the Mark Zuckerberg company continues to pay lower salaries and even lower bonuses to women employees in the UK and Ireland. Per the gender pay report for Meta Ireland released in December 2022, there are 3000 women staff in Ireland and 5000 at the UK office. Meanwhile in Meta UK, women employees were paid 2.1% lower than men. However, according to the report, men make $23,000 more than the women employees in Ireland. The chatter around the gender pay gap seems more tokenism in BigTech.
