New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 54 runs in the 19th fixture of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday. Chasing 111 to win, Pakistan got off to a poor start as half of the side were sent back to the pavilion inside the first powerplay with 28 runs on the board. This was Pakistan women’s team lowest score in ICC T20 World Cups. Following today’s loss, Pakistan’s journey in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 has come to an end. The women’s team featured in four matches with their only win in the tournament coming against Sri Lanka (by 31 runs).
