While other American team sports leagues have pledged to return to the field soon from shutdowns or delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, the nation’s top women’s soccer league has named a date: June 27. The National Women’s Soccer League, which includes all 23 members of the 2019 World Cup-winning U.S. women’s soccer team, will play a one-month tournament to be held entirely in Utah. But it isn’t yet clear how many of the league’s stars will participate, given ongoing concerns about the virus.
