Residents of the Bukuru Lowcost community in the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State were thrown into mourning and shock on Tuesday following the discovery of a woman’s corpse in a river in the area. PUNCH Metro learnt that the discovery was made by residents who gathered at the riverbank, expressing shock and disbelief over the incident. A video circulating online showed concerned residents pulling the woman’s corpse out of the river. “When we were alerted to the discovery of the corpse, people gathered. As of the time of filing this report, the state police command’s spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, had not responded to enquiries regarding the discovery.
