A woman with a mental disability has given birth to a baby boy next to a road divider in Chattogram city. Upon receiving word of the birth, a traffic sergeant rushed her to hospital. “Around 12pm, I was stationed at the Dewanhat traffic box when someone informed me that a woman with a mental disability was lying next to the road divider and had just given birth,” said Traffic Sergeant Zahidur Rahman. Zahidur subsequently rushed to the scene with a constable, shielding the mother with an umbrella. Eventually, one woman came forward to assist the mother and the newborn.
