Woman with 5 children in minivan charged with impaired driving in Durham region
A 30-year-old woman has been charged with impaired while driving with five kids in the car, Durham police said Tuesday. On Friday at around 9:30 p.m., an officer pulled over a minivan that was seen ‘driving erratically and speeding’ in Beaverton, near Regional Road 23 and Highway 12. The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Wasaga Beach, was arrested and charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired with five children in the vehicle. Police said she has since been released on an undertaking. Durham police are asking anyone with information to contact Const.
