Woman wanted for ‘Kiki dance’ on EDSA

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is working with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to hunt down a woman seen in a viral video doing the “Kiki dance” challenge on EDSA, an official said yesterday. The MMDA is “coordinating with the NBI to determine her address where we will send her summons, and we are still working on it,” MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said. The MMDA spokesperson said Gabuten will not be asked to explain her side. The MMDA said the dance challenge is strictly prohibited on major roads such as EDSA, C-5 Road and Commonwealth Avenue and on “mabuhay lanes” or alternate routes. Pialago said Gabuten is the first to be fined for taking part in the “Kiki dance” challenge.
