Oluwatobi AkindeleA woman, Gift Daniel, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing to death a 52-year-old cleric, Taofeek Olumoro, who allegedly tried to rape her. 3 Bajulaiye Street, Fadeyi, Lagos but reportedly met his absence. It was learnt that Olumoro, who attempted to rape Daniel, stabbed her in the thigh in the process. Daniel, in self-defence, got hold of the knife and stabbed the deceased five times, which led to his death. He said the offence contravened Section 222 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State and carried a death sentence for the convict.
