The animal was abandoned at the back of the house in Stoke-on-Trent after her 13-year-old granddaughter responded to an ad on the internet. Now the RSPCA is trying to find out who is responsible for dumping the horse, the Stoke Sentinel reports. “We don’t know where this poor pony came from but he clearly was not treated well before being abandoned." The pony, who has been named Mr Melvin Andrews, is now in the care of animal charity World Horse Welfare.
