The crash happened near the intersection of Waterloo and Carmen roads in Hornby about 7pm Friday. "Initial reports are that a woman was trapped in the car, but she was cut out soon after," a police spokesman said. The woman was taken to Christchurch Hospital, he said. The police spokesman said the serious crash unit was investigating.
