A woman has been airlifted to Christchurch Hospital after rolling her car down a bank in rural Canterbury. The crash happened just before 1pm on Monday off West Coast Rd (State Highway 73) near Castle Hill Dr, in Castle Hill a police spokeswoman said. A rescue helicopter was called and transported the woman to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Mau Barbara said a crew was called to assist, but no-one had to be freed from the vehicle.
