more-inA 65-year-old woman was mauled to death by pet dogs owned by her neighbour at Charity, near Vythiri, in Wayanad district on Monday morning. The police identified the deceased as Rajamma, wife of the late Palraj of Ambedkar Colony. Rajamma was a worker under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). Rajamma was attacked by two Rottweiler dogs owned by one Jose at Charity, while she was on her way for work along with two other women. The woman was bleeding and had severe injuries in her head and hands, villagers said.
