A 55-year-old housewife, identified as Mosammat Begum, was killed in an attack by rivals in Bogra on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Police arrested four members of a family on Thursday morning following a case filed by the victim’s son. The detainees are identified as Zillur Rahman (55), his wife Rasheda Begum (50), and their two sons, Rashedul Islam (35) and Ashiqul Islam (24), all residents of Gopalbari village in Sadar upazila of Bogra. According to police sources, a dispute over a family matter led to a clash between Shahid, the victim’s son, and Rashedul Islam on February 17. Inspector (Investigation) Mahfuz Alam of Bogra Sadar Police Station confirmed that the accused were sent to jail through court after their arrest.
