Calgary police have a woman in custody after finding an abandoned infant ditched in the bushes in a northwest city neighbourhood early Tuesday. “Someone called 911 saying there was a lady outside her house with a baby,” Ibach said. “The child had been found outside wearing very thin clothing — not dressed appropriately at all for the conditions,” he said. Ibach said the woman who had been in possession of the baby was known to the initial caller. Social services has been called in on the case, Ibach said, while the woman remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
