Shortly before 12.40am this morning, a grey Audi crashed into a block of flats on Brankin Road. A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 12.40am this morning, an Audi car crashed into a block of flats at Brankin Road, in Darlington. A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson previously said: "We received a call at 12.38am this morning (Friday 2 February) to reports of a road traffic incident on Brankin Road in Darlington. They said: "At 12.50am today (Friday), we were alerted to a report of a road traffic collision on Brankin Road, Darlington. "Crews attended to assist with a rescue from a vehicle and left the scene shortly after 2am."
