A woman and her rescue dog died on Friday after she jumped from the roof of her luxury building in New York City while carrying her pet, police said. Cops told the New York Post they found a handwritten note from the woman talking about stress and bottles of medication in her apartment. Witnesses told the New York Post that they were shocked the woman had jumped with her pooch. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the nation.
