GEORGE TOWN: A 21-year-old woman has been detained by police for allegedly attacking her mother with a padlock after an argument. George Town OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said the daughter became angry when the mother refused to let her and her boyfriend into their house in Relau at 8am yesterday. In BUTTERWORTH, a factory bus driver escaped death after his bus was hit by a trailer in Tingkat Perusahaan 6 at the Prai Industrial Area yesterday morning at 6.15am. Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the trailerhit the front of the bus, causing the bus to skid and crash into the road divider. “The bus driver broke his left thigh while the trailer driver escaped unhurt,” he said in a statement.
