A 34-year-old woman is being held at the Athi River police station for allegedly killing her husband with a knife. Area OCPD Sharma Wario said Julian Wanza is suspected of murdering Ezekiel Njanja in their rented house at Ngwata estate in Athi river town on Saturday. The OCPD further said the suspect is said to have stabbed her 37-year-old husband in the right thigh using a kitchen knife after a quarrel. “The suspect was arrested from a relative’s house in Sofia estate in Athi River where she is believed to have gone into hiding,” said Wario. The deceased’s remains are lying at the Shalom community hospital mortuary in Athi river awaiting a postmortem.
