Our Special CorrespondentPradip MukherjeeSinthee: A young woman chased a 50-year-old cyclist who she claimed had passed lewd remarks at her, caught him and handed him over to cops in Chitpore on Thursday. The 21-year-old woman, a student of tourism management, alleged in her complaint with Chitpore police station that Pradip Mukherjee had stalked her while she was jogging in the Tallah Park area in the evening. "He had grazed past the woman several times in the past," an officer said. "As she raised the alarm, he tried to flee but the woman gave chase and caught him with the help of others in the area." Earlier this month, two young women travelling in a bus recorded a man in his 50s making obscene gestures at them and posted it on social media.
